No boundaries

As Pablo Picasso once said, “It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child.”  I never painted like Raphael, but it certainly took me a lot longer to learn that children have no boundaries when they create art.

Mixed Media Art Lessons

I am now offering one-on-one, or a very small group, mixed media and art journaling classes.  This is for those who are interested locally.  I am currently not offering video online classes.

I do not offer basic art lessons such as face mapping, body dimensions, perspective, etc.  For me, mixed media art is about expressing what you want and how you want.  It’s not about how realistically you can paint or draw.  It’s about letting lose and being free creatively.

My Other Art

As a mixed media artist and a lover of all things different, I also do other art.  I really love to create what I’m in the mood for; but, I’m also a practical artist.  I like to create what I want in my house.  I don’t want the same faces all over my walls.  I want a wide variety of art styles…but, I want the art to be almost ALL mine.

From cranking up contour drawings with ink and spatter to attempting charcoal just within the past year.  Eventually to intuitive full-on abstract painting.
